Islands IV

In this piece, I’ve created an aerial view of an island ecosystem using vibrant color fields and stylized forms. The green landmass with circular patterning contains a yellow crescent shape, surrounded by concentric rings of turquoise and blue waters that create a topographic effect.

Four colorful macaws with red bodies and blue wings fly dynamically around the composition, creating movement and life. Their diagonal trajectories guide the viewer’s eye across the diptych format.

My approach blends indigenous art traditions with contemporary color field techniques to express environmental harmony and interconnectedness, inviting viewers to consider our planet from a transcendent perspective beyond human-centered vision.
